357 02:47
look alive. stay alert. we're on a mission. no one gets hurt. everyone's scared to go to bed. at the end of the hall is a kind old man, six live rounds, and a memory problem. everyone's scared to go to bed. who's gonna get the 357? if there's gonna be a dust-up, showdown, knockdown, drag out, I would take a bullet for your wounded pride. we don't want, never wanted, this fate for you. we don't want, never wanted, this end for you.
2.
gimme lightning. i want straightline winds. gimme a hurricane. I want the eye of the storm. gimme landslides. I want last rites. I want black clouds acid raining cats and dogs. I think i'm going out of my head. i'm a spinning wheel treading water. i need something more than nothing new. you're a steady rain on a broken record. you jerk the wheel I'll burn the wreckage. gimme a plane crash into a train wreck. apocalypse, have no mercy on me.
3.
MVP 02:17
we were 10 years. now my arm is sore. should have stayed at home. could've been a pro. all i wanna be is the goddamned MVP for the Minneapolis Brokeass Punk Baseball League. Ruth should watch his throne. how'd he keep his beer cold? how'd he score all those runs with his smokers lungs?
4.
i'll take today. you can have tomorrow, baby, I can wait. the sun is shining and I can't concentrate. sometimes the future seems so far away and uninviting when there's baseball and alcohol right here and now. i don't want to plan for the future if it never comes. i don't want a plan for the future if it never comes. there's no way we're waiting for the right time. there's no way we're playing on the safe side. and, oh yeah, we're gonna be sorry. there's no way we're waiting for tomorrow when there's baseball and alcohol right here and now. what if the Golden Years are now? what if we never live that long? someday we'll turn to dust, and i hope we're spent, and there's nothing left in us at all.

about

Tight Whips (formerly Apocalypse Meow) Minneapolis, Minnesota

We used to be called Apocalypse Meow, but we called it quits. We tried to do something else, but just ended up back together, slightly rearranged.

Some things just work.
